Counseling Department

Eggleston

Welcome Kearsley parents!  My name is Michele Eggleston and I am the school counselor at Fiedler Elementary and Armstrong Middle schools.  I serve all students in helping them build positive behaviors, enjoy relationships with others, succeed in school and understand their feelings about school, family and friends.

I graduated from Michigan State University with my undergraduate degree and from Western Michigan University with my Master of Arts in school counseling.  I have counseled and worked with students at every level in K-12 public education.  Through my education, training and experience, I am a nationally certified counselor and endorsed school counselor.

As your child’s school counselor, in order to reach all students and their needs I will deliver my services through classroom guidance lessons, individual counseling sessions and small group counseling.  I will work hard to help children understand themselves and others, resolve friendship conflicts, work through the consequences of their decisions and much more.  Another responsibility I have is to consult with parents about any concerns you may have about your child.  I have access to numerous resources that may help you deal effectively with your child.  I am also a supportive resource for all Dowdall and Weston teachers and administrators.  Students may also refer themselves for my services.

Coming together and working as a team to problem solve and brainstorm solutions to any concern is the foundation of my approach.  Please feel free to call me or e-mail me at meggleston@kearsleyschools.org  if you have any questions about your child.  I love watching all the children learn and grow through the years and I look forward to working with you.

Sincerely,

Michele Eggleston, MA, NCC, SCL, LLPC
